After a defensive mix-up in Los Araucanos 's zone, Arnulfo Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Milian came out of the goal and Arnulfo Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind SOL GUATTA TE AMO's goalkeeper Patricio Baldovino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonas Milian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Arano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes SOL GUATTA TE AMO got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Goren. Ismael Bartuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Milian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Baldovino made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Alberto Bonifaco sent off a good shot on target. SOL GUATTA TE AMO's Patricio Baldovino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save SOL GUATTA TE AMO from getting a goal against them. After 31 played minutes SOL GUATTA TE AMO got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Bartuelo. Alberto Bonifaco scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patricio Baldovino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Llanos charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Llanos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luis Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th match minute, Los Araucanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Llanos to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Bonifaco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Batista who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Jonas Milian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Eliazar in the 57th minute of play forced SOL GUATTA TE AMO's goalkeeper Patricio Baldovino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Eliazar scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patricio Baldovino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornelio Menendo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes Los Araucanos got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Menendo. Jonas Milian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnulfo Batista in the 68th minute. Guto de Castro's late challenge caught a SOL GUATTA TE AMO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guto de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Los Araucanos 's Guto de Castro got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 86 played minutes Los Araucanos got a freekick which was hit by Guto de Castro. A collision led to SOL GUATTA TE AMO getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ciriaco Goren hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Miguel Eliazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Miguel Eliazar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Los Araucanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Eliazar couldn't finish the play. Patricio Baldovino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Eliazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Los Araucanos 's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnulfo Batista fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 98 minutes into the match, Los Araucanos 's goalkeeper Jonas Milian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Batista. SOL GUATTA TE AMO's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Araucanos had won, even though SOL GUATTA TE AMO had held more of the ball.
