Jimeno Ermano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jimeno Ermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Goizeder in the 21st minute of the match. Andres Eder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Prudencio Sazon made a huge save. When Elpidio Marz fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Virginia's protests and gave Elpidio Marz a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Virginia got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Marz. When Sergio Demesio came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Botija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Demesio couldn't finish the play. Andres Eder made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 29thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Prudencio Sazon would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Anacleto Ferran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anacleto Ferran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Prudencio Sazon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Abeijon scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimeno Ermano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Botija's Prudencio Sazon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Botija from getting a goal against them. The Virginia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Botija were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Abeijon made a kick off. Prudencio Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Eder, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Andres Eder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Sazon having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Gerardo Goizeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Ferran in the 62nd minute of play forced Botija's goalkeeper Prudencio Sazon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Virginia booed when Botija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Azibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th match minute, Botija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Azibar to maneuver through the defense. If Sergio Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Botija played a much better game than Virginia and deserved their victory. The Virginia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
