Leonel Cristos made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Camilo Refugio sent off a good shot on target. Edelmiro Gaueko kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Mariano Etxahun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Cristos having to interfere. Enrique Justin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Leonel Cristos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Enrique Justin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Leonel Cristos to make any attempt to save it. Ciriaco Martino kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, HUACHIPATO F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Justin came free, but Leonel Cristos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HUACHIPATO F. C.'s Osvaldo Cucao got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Cristos stood somewhat misplaced when Mariano Etxahun came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. The Los Bafana Bafana fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Los Bafana Bafana's Mariano Etxahun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Osvaldo Cucao might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Goi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Cucao ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the match, Los Bafana Bafana's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Gaueko came free, but Gervasio Goi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Cristos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Etxahun in the 80th minute of the match. After 87 minutes, Mariano Etxahun made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. HUACHIPATO F. C.'s Leonel Cristos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Edelmiro Gaueko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Goi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Modestio during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to HUACHIPATO F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camilo Refugio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Bafana Bafana fully deserved thier win.
