After 3 played minutes Deportivo Cavernas got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Sandaili. During the 6th minute of the match Leonides Sandaili completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonides Sandaili a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Leonides Sandaili hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Genaro Sayvion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeronimo Asur scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Chayo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Xentenario FC booed when Deportivo Cavernas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Luzaide didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Cavernas's zone, Jeronimo Asur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Chayo came out of the goal and Jeronimo Asur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Segundo James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Genaro Sayvion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Chayo was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Christian Derwin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lisandro Richie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Honorato Eriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeronimo Asur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Donato Chayo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Elias Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Derwin in the 40th minute of play forced Xentenario FC's goalkeeper Lisandro Richie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lisandro Richie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Eriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Lisandro Richie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Eriz in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Deportivo Cavernas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Christian Derwin hit a great ball. Donato Chayo made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Jeronimo Asur sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorato Eriz to make the kick off. Lisandro Richie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo James, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Jeronimo Asur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Elias Vincent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xentenario FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Vincent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Richie having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Deportivo Cavernas's Honorato Eriz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 84 minutes of play, Xentenario FC's Elias Vincent made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Chayo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Xentenario FC's zone, Christian Derwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Richie came out of the goal and Christian Derwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Eriz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Lisandro Richie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Xentenario FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
