German Benino scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Primitivo Iztal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Pero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Mikelats in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of PALERMO booed when Sacanta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximo Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Emilio Correa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Primitivo Iztal skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of PALERMO booed when Sacanta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Sanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Florencio Ofelio fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sacanta FC's protests and gave Florencio Ofelio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Guillermo Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, German Benino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Primitivo Iztal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Pero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Venceslas in the 28th minute of play. PALERMO's Julio Pero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save PALERMO from getting a goal against them. Julio Pero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aureliano Manex in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that German Benino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Primitivo Iztal was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, PALERMO's German Benino got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Aureliano Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when German Benino made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes in the game, German Benino fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Primitivo Iztal having to interfere. When German Benino came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the PALERMO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Benino couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute Salvador Itzaina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, PALERMO's German Benino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Primitivo Iztal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. George Pilblad scored 0-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Primitivo Iztal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If George Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Ofelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 81st minute German Benino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as PALERMO's Salvador Itzaina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Primitivo Iztal. That made the score 0-6 after 82 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Salvador Itzaina managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALERMO's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Itzaina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Iztal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves George Pilblad could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Primitivo Iztal however easily saved by the left post. Aureliano Manex's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Pero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Salvador Itzaina struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Primitivo Iztal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PALERMO. In the 97th minute, George Pilblad fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. PALERMO played a much better game than Sacanta FC and deserved their victory. The Sacanta FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
