But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Mikelats couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Aureliano Manex got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aureliano Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Al horno con papas's Nicanor Eleder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Mikelats in the 30th minute of play. Aureliano Manex received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nicanor Eleder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Eleder having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Sacanta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Bilbo came free, but Primitivo Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Guaberto Bilbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Mikelats was the one to do the kick off. Nicanor Eleder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Manex in the 53rd minute of play. Al horno con papas's Bernardo Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Venceslas during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sacanta FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Benedicto Venceslas hit a great ball. Nicanor Eleder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Manex in the 71st minute of the match. Mariano Dominic lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 76th minute, one of Al horno con papas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Al horno con papas. Nicanor Eleder had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Freddy Ursino's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Al horno con papas's zone, Benedicto Venceslas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Eleder came out of the goal and Benedicto Venceslas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Manex in the 84th minute of play forced Al horno con papas's goalkeeper Nicanor Eleder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Eleder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Ofelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
