The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michalis Kiassos scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remigio Endura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lázaro Mirande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Benedicto Che tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michalis Kiassos in the 10th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO's goalkeeper Remigio Endura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michalis Kiassoss short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Remigio Endura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 13th match minute, SAN LORENZO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. Michalis Kiassos in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Remigio Endura, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO's Elpidio Neto got a free kick in the 18th minute. Lázaro Mirande hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes SAN LORENZO got a freekick which was hit by Anier Birjaio. Michalis Kiassoss short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Remigio Endura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 24 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Natal came free, but Remigio Endura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Endura didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Geri City's Benedicto Che played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Mirande in the 29th minute of play. The Geri City fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Geri City's Michalis Kiassos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Michalis Kiassos put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Remigio Endura. Remigio Endura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michalis Kiassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 41 minutes, Sebastian Herrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN LORENZO and the Geri City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Geri City booed when SAN LORENZO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michalis Kiassos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Remigio Endura 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robustiano Alonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luisito Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Endura having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Vermudo came free, but Remigio Endura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michalis Kiassos in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Endura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Michalis Kiassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Michalis Kiassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Endura was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Luisito Romano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Endura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Geri City's Michalis Kiassos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Endura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Prospero Thomas kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Jonas Vermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Michalis Kiassos put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Remigio Endura. Luisito Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Maximino Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michalis Kiassos in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Endura saved SAN LORENZO from getting behind. Sebastian Herrera hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michalis Kiassos in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Endura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zacarias Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Domingos Lluques kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
