With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Herensuge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicanor Medardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Claudio Herensuge successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Canning FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicanor Medardo in the 17th minute. Canning FC's Nicanor Medardo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudio Herensuge in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bernardino Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Juvenal in the 19th minute of play. Saverio Ugaitz succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 29th minute, Saverio Ugaitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Herensuge was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Alonzo Ebardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Claudio Herensuge made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, godoy cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Mendez came free, but Claudio Herensuge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Claudio Herensuge managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Canning FC's Saverio Ugaitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Ugaitz got free with Claudio Herensuge in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes in the game, Silvio Mendez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Claudio Herensuge having to interfere. Saverio Ugaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Claudio Herensuge made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carolo Juvenal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Canning FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Ugaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Silvio Mendez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but godoy cruz's Claudio Herensuge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvio Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Canning FC's Saverio Ugaitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudio Herensuge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Silvio Mendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canning FC's Saverio Ugaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Saverio Ugaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canning FC had played much better football throughout.
