Gouin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Frutos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aquilino Frichoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Shepherd having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Raimundo Benino made a precise shot to the right of Baldomiro Quirze. CAVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. CAVA's Baldomiro Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Benino in the 16th minute of play. Gogo Intxixu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gouin's zone, Herman Persson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Shepherd came out of the goal and Herman Persson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Shepherd came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by CAVA's Jose Ospetsu. But to his dismay, Jose Ospetsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 42 minutes into the game, Jose Ospetsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Amadeo Shepherd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

After 53 minutes of play, CAVA's Fabian Oso made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Shepherd was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Raimundo Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gouin's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Benino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomiro Quirze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 59 minutes, Emiliano Cesaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAVA and the Gouin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emiliano Cesaro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Raimundo Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gouin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Benino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CAVA's Baldomiro Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Abecia in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Aquilino Frichoso made a precise shot to the right of Amadeo Shepherd. Gouin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Ospetsu got free with Amadeo Shepherd in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to CAVA getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Miguel Frutos hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Jose Ospetsu took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Amadeo Shepherd to make any attempt to save it. Raimundo Benino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Aquilino Frichoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CAVA played a much better game than Gouin and deserved their victory. The Gouin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
