Sunchales's Leopoldo Salvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Victoro in the 15th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Sunchales's Rodrigo Crispo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Oliverio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute, Ruben Paul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Benito Damario sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genaro Oliverio skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Sunchales booed when Cebollitas Jr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Uzuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Oliverio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Richie in the 41st minute of play forced Cebollitas Jr's goalkeeper Genaro Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jorge Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 45 played minutes Cebollitas Jr got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Uzuri. Rodrigo Crispo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Victoro to make the kick off. Reynaldo Clementi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Victoriano Ritchie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 56 played minutes Cebollitas Jr got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Montrel. In the 59th minute, Aurelio Truylos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Oliverio having to interfere. Leopoldo Salvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Cebollitas Jr got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Crispo. In the 71st minute Jorge Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Oliverio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermin Serafo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Cebollitas Jr:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sunchales:s goal. In the 81st minute, Rodrigo Crispo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genaro Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Richie in the 89th minute of play. Jorge Richie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Reynaldo Clementi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Genaro Oliverio. The goal made the score 1-5. After 97 minutes, Paulino Xabier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunchales and the Cebollitas Jr players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulino Xabier hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Sunchales's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
