Peralta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Conrado Arano 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Peralta's Ambrosio Lizardi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Peralta from getting a goal against them. Hugo Etxekopar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hugo Etxekopar came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Salto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Etxekopar couldn't finish the play. Cristobal Mercurio kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ambrosio Lizardi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Etxekopar in the 34th minute. Conrado Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ambrosio Lizardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peralta's Ambrosio Lizardi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Peralta from getting a goal against them. Alberto Ponce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Blai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Anselmo Lando notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Salto FC's Alberto Ponce. Alberto Ponce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Peralta were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 61 minutes, Evelio Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peralta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Blai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Salto FC's goalkeeper Alberto Ponce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Lando. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Cutberto during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Salto FC got a freekick which was hit by Angel Cutberto. After having played for 68 minutes, Evelio Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salto FC's Alberto Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Blai in the 85th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evelio Blai in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Ponce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Peralta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
