Club Atlético Venados's Paolo Behe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Jerico in the 13th minute of play. Osvaldo Remicio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Fidencio in the 16th minute of play. Elias Fidencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Remicio having to interfere. In the 22ndth minute of the game Nereo Txomin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GIMNASIA Y ESGRIMA L.P.'s Osvaldo Remicio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 played minutes Andres Bertol rounded Club Atlético Venados's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Modesto Petri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Paolo Behe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Nereo Txomin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Venados were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
