In the 17thth minute of the game Evaristo Mikelar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Cuarto F.C's Horacio Firman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Rio Cuarto F.C's Alejandro Otoniel got a free kick in the 18th minute. Horacio Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Estevon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Estevon took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Firman. Horacio Firman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fabio Chano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Horacio Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Mikelar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Mikelar in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Mikelar made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rio Cuarto F.C! When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Club Atlético Ticino's Teodosio Veremundo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Horacio Firman. In the 58th minute Ernest Kubr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriana Aguirre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Ariando hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Anacleto Jaunzuria came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Rio Cuarto F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Jaunzuria couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Rio Cuarto F.C getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Erubiel Paulin hit a great ball. Erubiel Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriana Aguirre having to interfere. Candido Estevon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Horacio Firman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Baltasar Gotzon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Ticino and the Rio Cuarto F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over Club Atlético Ticino could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rio Cuarto F.C throughout the match.
