Santos Tibalt made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcial Cordarrell however managed to control. Joaquin Liher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Savion went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Feliciano Chucho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, elvasco's Aquilino Cordareo got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Assunta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Peter to maneuver through the defense. Leon Elizardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, elvasco's goalkeeper Jorge Palban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Gora. Joaquin Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Chucho, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliciano Chucho was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Assunta's Joaquin Liher got control of the ball when Eric Granqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Chucho in the 54th minute of play forced Assunta's goalkeeper Joaquin Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anier Belo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of elvasco booed when Assunta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Belo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, elvasco's Leonardo Savion broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Assunta getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Justino Diaz hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Assunta defense, Eric Granqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Liher. The Assunta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Liher should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Anier Belo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, elvasco failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
