Marcelino Txeru charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelino Txeru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Recoleccion! Celso Orlanda walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Teofilo Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Leguizamón having to interfere. Ciro Crescencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Gabrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Crescencio having to interfere. In the 46th minute Candido Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Crescencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ciro Crescencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Liebig 's zone, Candido Benitez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Recoleccion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Gabrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Isidoro Emmanuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Recoleccion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liebig the free kick. The supporters of Liebig booed when Recoleccion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Leguizamón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Banegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Aristides Leguizamón didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofilo Banegas went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Teofilo Banegas struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Aristides Leguizamón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liebig . 86 minutes into the game, Gaspar Tavio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Recoleccion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liebig the free kick. Gaspar Tavio kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Victorino Ibar might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Leguizamón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Ibar ran back to his position shaking his head. Victorino Ibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Liebig fans cheered their team off the field, for while Recoleccion had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
