Juniors Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando dos Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Celestino Tebaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celestino Tebaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celestino Tebaldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Nicholas's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Claudinho Cunha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celestino Tebaldo. The goal made the score 3-0. 28 minutes into the match, Eulalio Oriol dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celestino Tebaldo, 4-0. Gonlag's Celestino Tebaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Gonlag from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Juniors Fc booed when Gonlag was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Scoca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho Cunha's late challenge caught a Gonlag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Claudinho Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Siro Oxel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Filipo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. If Silvano Guerau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Gonlag's Celestino Tebaldo got control of the ball when Carlos Fernando dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gonlag's Celestino Tebaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Cunha in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Filipo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Diego Filipo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th minute Eulalio Oriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Tebaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonlag's Andres Rubio suffered a sore thigh after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Juniors Fc's Eulalio Oriol got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Gonlag booed when Juniors Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Oriol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Tebaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Oriol, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Claudinho Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Tebaldo having to interfere. Amos Scoca hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Celestino Tebaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Cunha in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Cunha in the 74th minute of play forced Gonlag's goalkeeper Celestino Tebaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Tebaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Cunha in the 79th minute of the match. Siro Oxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Rozarius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siro Oxel made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Diego Filipo sent off a good shot on target. Silvano Guerau might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siro Oxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Guerau ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute Eulalio Oriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Tebaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonlag's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
