Severino Corrêas short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Feliberto Platon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 16 minutes, Rigoberto Urti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tunalito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Urti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Corrêa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Feliberto Platon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Feliberto Platon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Corrêa's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Feliberto Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Corrêa in the 20th minute of play. Juan Koldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Eder in the 24th minute of the match. Feliberto Platon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Angel Honesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Petri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Platon having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gervasio Nicholas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Platon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Corrêa's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Severino Corrêa sped through Azara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Feliberto Platon. Tunalito FC's Severino Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Corrêa might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feliberto Platon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Corrêa ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the game, Tunalito FC's Luisito Petri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Feliberto Platon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.
