When Amadeo Aballe fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alumbrera AFC's protests and gave Amadeo Aballe a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Alumbrera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Aballe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Sidro in the 21st minute of play forced Alumbrera AFC's goalkeeper David Jesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Seco having to interfere. David Jesco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Generoso Eduino in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, Rolando Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Miguel Lop's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvaldo Seco was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. A collision led to BenGon getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Evelio Fernendo hit a great ball. The Alumbrera AFC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Alumbrera AFC's Miguel Lop looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The penalty shot was made by Florentino Unai, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BenGon's Edvaldo Seco. 0-2. After the first half Alumbrera AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlad Orășan made a kick off. A collision led to BenGon getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Segundo Sidro hit a great ball. With a little luck, BenGon's Edvaldo Seco got control of the ball when Miguel Lop tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Lop who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Edvaldo Seco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Vlad Orășan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Jesco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Lop during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Alumbrera AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Lop to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BenGon booed when Alumbrera AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball.
