Leonel Venerando was a little too slow when Fulgencio Francho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 16th match minute, Sporting FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Confesor to maneuver through the defense. When Marciano Esquipula fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting FC's protests and gave Marciano Esquipula a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Marciano Esquipula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Amadeo Fe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonel Venerando was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Sporting FC's Leonel Venerando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Miliano in the 29th minute of play. With his leg Leonel Venerando managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Maciel FC's Fulgencio Francho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 35th minute, Wawrzyniec Solibieda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maciel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Bertran in the 39th minute of play forced Maciel FC's goalkeeper Ernest Seţeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Venerando was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeo Fe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 42 minute of play. Ernest Seţeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Esquipula in the 47th minute of play.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Celedonio Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maciel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Platon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Venerando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonel Venerando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Fe in the 57th minute of play. Ernest Seţeanu made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Narciso Vermudo sent off a good shot on target. Konrad Zaremba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Venerando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celedonio Platon went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the game, Maciel FC's Celedonio Platon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Venerando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Ernest Seţeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Bertran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Ernest Seţeanu throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ricardo Bertran in the 71stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Narciso Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Amadeo Fe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonel Venerando was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. Sporting FC's Florentino Txema shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernest Seţeanu but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting FC's zone, Konrad Zaremba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Venerando came out of the goal and Konrad Zaremba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Platon, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Amadeo Fe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maciel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1.
