Cangrejilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Olivar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Teodoro Ishmael fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cangrejilla's protests and gave Teodoro Ishmael a yellow card for diving instead. Teodoro Ishmael hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Santo Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chanilao's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Valentine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Jakes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernest Ducus short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Antonio Jakes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Cangrejilla defense, Ernest Ducu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Jakes. The Cangrejilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Jakes should have stopped the shot. Godofredo Olivar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jonathan Sansone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced Chanilao's goalkeeper Jonathan Sansone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Sansone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Shantala in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Andres Shantala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Santo Valentine reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antonio Jakes. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Chanilao's zone, Godofredo Olivar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Sansone came out of the goal and Godofredo Olivar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Shantala in the 40th minute of play forced Chanilao's goalkeeper Jonathan Sansone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 minutes of play, Cangrejilla's Godofredo Olivar made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Sansone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Sansone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santo Valentine made a kick off. Antonio Jakes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Ducu in the 53rd minute of the match. Chanilao's Jonathan Sansone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Chanilao from getting a goal against them. Andres Shantala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Chanilao's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Isias came free, but Jonathan Sansone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Shantala could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jonathan Sansone made a huge save. 61 minutes into the match, Godofredo Olivar notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Chanilao's Jonathan Sansone. Jonathan Sansone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andres Shantala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Cangrejilla's Cosme Quinito dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Antonio Jakes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Valentine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Cangrejilla's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Valentine came free, but Antonio Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Santo Valentine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Jakes was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Esteban Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Sansone. Chanilao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. In the 88th minute, Andres Shantala made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Sansone. Chanilao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. In the 96th minute Santo Valentine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cangrejilla played a much better game than Chanilao and deserved their victory. The Chanilao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
