In the 4th minute Fidel Sidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Cresenciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Feliciano Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th match minute, Los Mismos de Siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Sidro to maneuver through the defense. Maximo Cresenciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Federigo in the 9th minute of the match. When Ricardo Federigo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Mismos de Siempre's protests and gave Ricardo Federigo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sporting Punta Alta booed when Los Mismos de Siempre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Ricardo Federigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Mismos de Siempre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Maximo Cresenciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Federigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Sporting Punta Alta's Francisco Ciceron ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jesus Sengrat. Jesus Sengrat yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Maximo Cresenciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Federigo in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Sidro in the 32nd minute of play forced Sporting Punta Alta's goalkeeper Maximo Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Ricardo Federigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximo Cresenciano. Sporting Punta Alta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Federigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After some careless play in the Sporting Punta Alta defense, Fidel Sidro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Cresenciano. The Sporting Punta Alta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Cresenciano should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Delmar Evarado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jesus Sengrat, 3-3. Jesus Sengrat was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Francisco Ciceron capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Ciceron really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-3 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Fonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ricardo Federigo put it in 4-4 from a short distance just to the right of Maximo Cresenciano. In the 55th minute, Fidel Sidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Federigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Maximo Cresenciano made a huge save. Delmar Evarado kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Los Mismos de Siempre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Sidro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Sidro in the 68th minute of play forced Sporting Punta Alta's goalkeeper Maximo Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Los Mismos de Siempre's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Jesco came free, but Jesus Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Los Mismos de Siempre's Fidel Sidro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Cresenciano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-5. Maximo Cresenciano made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ricardo Federigo sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesus Sengrat came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Punta Alta's Maximiliano Leobardo. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Leobardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-6. Jesus Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Jesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sporting Punta Alta's Maximo Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Punta Alta from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Fidel Sidro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maximo Cresenciano. The goal made the score 6-7.
