Teobaldo Tello who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Desiderio Eliazar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aldo Bikendi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 20 minutes, Evelio Pacorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gamba Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Pacorro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Aldo Bikendi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Desiderio Eliazar to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, Atlético Chilecito's goalkeeper Desiderio Eliazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feliberto Normando. 27 minutes into the game, Gamba Plate's Teobaldo Tello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desiderio Eliazar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Marcelino Gaur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. With his leg Desiderio Eliazar managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Gamba Plate's Teobaldo Tello fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Atlético Chilecito getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tadeo Formerio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Chilecito's zone, Teobaldo Tello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Eliazar came out of the goal and Teobaldo Tello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jesus Caitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Ioritz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Desiderio Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Caitano in the 49th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56th minute Teobaldo Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Gamba Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Bizi came free, but 孔南 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Atlético Chilecito's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Pacorro came free, but Desiderio Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Atlético Chilecito got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Ovando. Gamba Plate made a substitution. Wilfredo Taurino replaced Evelio Pacorro. The supporters of Gamba Plate booed when Atlético Chilecito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Eliazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Taurino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Caitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Eliazar having to interfere. Desiderio Eliazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Taurino in the 95th minute of play. Gamba Plate's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
