The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Nunez Muc put in a rough tackle. After 16 played minutes C.A. Marcelo Bielsa got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Muc. After recieving a nice pass, Goya's Tomas Mendebal tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Tomas Mendebal put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Damian Lobo. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Tomas Mendebal put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Damian Lobo. Damian Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Telesforo in the 32nd minute of play. C.A. Marcelo Bielsa's Damian Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Chucho in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Tomas Mendebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Lobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Mendebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benito Cai was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Jaime Maule was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Marcelo Bielsa the free kick. Damian Lobo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cornelio Chucho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A. Marcelo Bielsa's Angel Tolino got a free kick in the 58th minute. C.A. Marcelo Bielsa's Damian Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Telesforo in the 60th minute of play. If Tomas Mendebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute of the match, Tomas Mendebal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Damian Lobo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 69th minute Cornelio Chucho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Lobo was a little too slow when Tomas Mendebal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-5. The audience was convinced that Tomas Mendebal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Lobo was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Damian Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Telesforo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Mario Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Frances could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Damian Lobo made a huge save. Damian Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Chucho in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Goya left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.A. Marcelo Bielsa.
