Elias Loramendi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nicolas Goi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Nafarroa went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Omar Tino got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcelo Hegoi. Nicolas Goi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Nafarroa's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Elias Loramendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Albano Cordarryl made a huge save. Albano Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Maurino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Patricio Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Goi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Nafarroa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Goi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35thth minute of the game Virgilio Maurino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plátanos's Albano Cordarryl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Martelli FC got a corner. Plátanos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javier Oriol ran over to the corner to take the kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Nafarroa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Herminio Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Joel Nafarroa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nicolas Goi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolas Goi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Nafarroa in the 62nd minute of the match. If Herminio Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Plátanos's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Maurino came free, but Albano Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Emenon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martelli FC's Faustino Papo was substituted for Marcelo Hegoi. Albano Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Astudillo in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Maurino in the 93rd minute of play forced Plátanos's goalkeeper Albano Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Faustino Papo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Loramendi in the 95th minute of play. Plátanos were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Martelli FC's much stronger midfield.
