Hoyón AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piñero the free kick. Fabio Gelacio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Beturian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Fastesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Jorge Velasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Leobardo. Hoyón AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Velasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Yanuar Latuperisa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Fastesson in the 20th minute of play forced Piñero's goalkeeper Arnulfo Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piñero's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Ingvar Fastesson scored to the left of an out of position Arnulfo Beturian, making the score, 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Hoyón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Illart came free, but Armando Leobardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Hoyón AFC's Ingvar Fastesson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnulfo Beturian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 39th minute Albano Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Albano Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Piñero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Rameriz to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Cayetano Serapio from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Arnulfo Beturian's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingvar Fastesson to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Beturian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingvar Fastesson's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Velasco in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Leobardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnulfo Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanuar Latuperisa in the 61st minute of the match. When Jorge Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Piñero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Velasco couldn't finish the play. Albano Illart might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Leobardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Illart ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hoyón AFC! 74 minutes into the match, Hoyón AFC's goalkeeper Armando Leobardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Illart. Piñero's Arnulfo Beturian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanuar Latuperisa in the 81st minute of play. Ingvar Fastesson got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Arnulfo Beturian handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The supporters of Hoyón AFC booed when Piñero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Perico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Cayetano Serapio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnulfo Beturian skillfully saved the ball. When Hoyón AFC's Ingvar Fastesson, in the 87th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hoyón AFC. In the 88th minute, Efrain Perico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saverio Felo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Armando Leobardo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Albano Gabrio. After a rather tough play, Hoyón AFC's Saverio Felo got a free kick in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Albano Illart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piñero's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Illart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Leobardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnulfo Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanuar Latuperisa in the 98th minute of the match. Piñero's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
