The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Gorri got free with Enrique Bastiaro in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique Bastiaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Hislop in the 6th minute of play. If Erasmo Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Truylos scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Mentrup, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardino Mambru during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Mentrup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Truylos, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Camilandia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Florencio Peio hit a great ball. Urbano Truylos kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Enrique Bastiaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Hislop's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Camilandia's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Richie came free, but Carlos Mentrup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ampallo's Israel Estevez pulled a muscle in his leg after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Diego Hislop fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camilandia's protests and gave Diego Hislop a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Camilandia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Diego Hislop hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Ampallo's goalkeeper Enrique Bastiaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Gorri. Enrique Bastiaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Gorri in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Gorri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florencio Peio kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Hislop in the 59th minute of play forced Ampallo's goalkeeper Enrique Bastiaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Gorri in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Bastiaro saved Ampallo from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Diego Hislop's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Bastiaro was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Erasmo Gorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Enrique Bastiaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Richie had several of the Camilandia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Carlos Mentrup as he didn't even see the shot coming. Erasmo Gorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Enrique Bastiaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ampallo's Enrique Bastiaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Suarez in the 82nd minute of play. If Diego Hislop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enrique Bastiaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Gorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernan Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Ampallo's Octavio Beltza got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
