Gonzalo Cordairo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Gaspard in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Mauro Gaspard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ferreyra's Gonzalo Cordairo. Gonzalo Cordairo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mauro Gaspard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Martin Bibiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Mauro Gaspard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferreyra's Gonzalo Cordairo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Bibiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Cordairo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Martin Bibiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonzalo Cordairo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justo Jaen in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timoteo Asteri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Primitivo Qwinton fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferreyra's protests and gave Primitivo Qwinton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ferreyra getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Primitivo Qwinton hit a great ball. The supporters of Maribor booed when Ferreyra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Ferreyra's goal looked a bit too open when David Gomesano came free, but Gonzalo Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Cordairo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Gomesano, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Mauro Gaspard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Gaspard made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Ferreyra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. Pascual Gaur kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mauro Gaspard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Ferreyra's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Gaspard came free, but Gonzalo Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Bibiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonzalo Cordairo having to make a save. Maribor made a substitution. Sergio Dantel replaced Armando Gonza. Maribor were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Ferreyra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquiles Orlin took the corner. 74 minutes into the game, Mauro Gaspard lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Gonzalo Cordairo. Martin Bibiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gonzalo Cordairo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maribor made a substitution. Ermegildo Sesuldo replaced Mauro Gaspard. In the 84th minute, Bernardo Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ferreyra's Gonzalo Cordairo got control of the ball when Martin Bibiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maribor's Franziskus Beller got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Maribor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ferreyra.
