Joaquin Rik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Fabio Pinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Belarmo. Tricao Malal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Pinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 20 minutes, Bernardo Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tricao Malal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Basajaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tricao Malal's Leonel Belarmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Pinto in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Tricao Malal's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Rik came free, but Leonel Belarmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tricao Malal defense, Joaquin Rik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Belarmo. The Tricao Malal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Belarmo should have stopped the shot. When Joaquin Rik came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Moquehua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Rik couldn't finish the play. After 42 played minutes Tricao Malal got a freekick which was hit by Igor Txeru. Joaquin Rik kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Joaquin Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moquehua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquin Rik made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moquehua FC's goalkeeper Humberto Gil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Geronimo Javiero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tricao Malal's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Javiero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the game, Tricao Malal's Geronimo Javiero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Gil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Bernardo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Humberto Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Bernardo Basajaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Belarmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Rik in the 74th minute of the match. German Domiku made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tricao Malal's Igor Txeru. 81 minutes into the match, Joaquin Rik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonel Belarmo, 1-4. Leonel Belarmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Rik in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Basajaun in the 87th minute of play forced Moquehua FC's goalkeeper Humberto Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geronimo Javiero struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Humberto Gil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tricao Malal. In the 92nd minute, Joaquin Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moquehua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Tricao Malal lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
