Amadeo Malvin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Gervasio Luzaide made a huge save. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pavón AFC's goalkeeper Celestino Lluciano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mario Sasoin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Celestino Lluciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Hernan Victoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celestino Lluciano. Pavón AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Victoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Pavón AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Telmo came free, but Celestino Lluciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerardo Telmo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Celestino Lluciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for gambeta fc. Celestino Lluciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Gorosti, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Freddy Egoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. gambeta fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Egoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Lluciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Efrain Gorosti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Lluciano having to interfere. Pavón AFC's Celestino Lluciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Egoitz in the 36th minute of play. Celestino Lluciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Egoitz in the 41st minute of play. Gervasio Luzaide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Mogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Pavón AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Malvin to maneuver through the defense. gambeta fc's Efrain Gorosti got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half gambeta fc were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Gorosti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Cefero kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Pavón AFC's Celestino Lluciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Pavón AFC from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, gambeta fc's Gerardo Telmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celestino Lluciano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pavón AFC's Celestino Lluciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Gorosti in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Efrain Gorosti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Lluciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, gambeta fc's Gerardo Telmo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Mario Sasoin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Celestino Lluciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Sasoin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celestino Lluciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Freddy Egoitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Lluciano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a little luck, Pavón AFC's Celestino Lluciano got control of the ball when Freddy Egoitz tried to sneak it across the goal line.
