The Saavedra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Omar Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute, Rosendo Orain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Irrintzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Juan Lertxun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Omar Marin came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Saavedra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Marin couldn't finish the play. Narciso Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Fernandez in the 26th minute of play. Jesus Balasi made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Claudio Valery sent off a good shot on target. Braulio Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Irrintzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Lico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Club Atletico Uvita Salto got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Velasco. 37 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Uvita Salto's Claudio Valery nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesus Balasi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Braulio Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Irrintzi having to interfere. If Rosendo Orain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Uvita Salto's Narciso Irrintzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Lico in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Uvita Salto defense, Damaso Lico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Irrintzi. The Club Atletico Uvita Salto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Irrintzi should have stopped the shot. In the 48th minute, Omar Marin made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Irrintzi. Club Atletico Uvita Salto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3.

The wind increased when Omar Marin made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Club Atletico Uvita Salto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Abeita to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Fernandez got free with Narciso Irrintzi in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damaso Lico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Irrintzi having to interfere. Narciso Irrintzi was a little too slow when Braulio Fernandez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-4. Damaso Lico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Irrintzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Omar Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosendo Orain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st match minute, Club Atletico Uvita Salto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Eudoxio to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Irrintzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dimitris Kominatos went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Omar Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Narciso Irrintzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damaso Lico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Irrintzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Braulio Fernandez took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Narciso Irrintzi to make any attempt to save it. Club Atletico Uvita Salto's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Damaso Lico scored to the left of an out of position Narciso Irrintzi, making the score, 1-7. The crowd rose to their feet as Omar Marin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Narciso Irrintzi. That made the score 1-8 in the 93 minute of play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Uvita Salto's goalkeeper Narciso Irrintzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Narciso Irrintzi made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Damaso Lico sent off a good shot on target. Saavedra played a much better game than Club Atletico Uvita Salto and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Uvita Salto players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
