After a defensive mix-up in Jáchal's zone, Gilberto Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Argi came out of the goal and Gilberto Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorato Sidoro made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Jáchal's goalkeeper Maximiliano Argi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Urtsua. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gabriel Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jáchal's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Ourente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baudelio Orbiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baudelio Orbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Ourente in the 60th minute of the match. Maximiliano Argi came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by el arse's Honorato Sidoro. But to his dismay, Honorato Sidoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Honorato Sidoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. Maximiliano Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
