Edgard Orti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Beturian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Maxin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Damario having to interfere. With a little luck, Forres's Cayetano Damario got control of the ball when Esteban Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. El Maguito's Edgard Orti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Beturian in the 14th minute of play. Forres's Cayetano Damario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Maxin in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Forres's Severino Beturian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Orti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cayetano Damario was a little too slow when Cristo Maxin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 26th minute, Anier Domeka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to El Maguito getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gogo Atarratze hit a great ball. After 36 minutes of play, Forres's Bernabe Faron made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Orti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cayetano Damario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Locaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Forres's goalkeeper Cayetano Damario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristo Maxin. In the 45th minute Bernabe Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Orti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes El Maguito got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Reyes. In the 47th minute, Anier Domeka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Rigoberto Locaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Forres's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Maxin came free, but Cayetano Damario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cornelio Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Forres defense, Cornelio Reyes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Damario. The Forres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Damario should have stopped the shot. Severino Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Damario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Locaio in the 61st minute of play. Rigoberto Locaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Forres's Cayetano Damario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Maxin in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Forres's Bernabe Faron got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Forres's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Atarratze came free, but Cayetano Damario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Pueblo in the 77th minute of play forced Forres's goalkeeper Cayetano Damario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Maxin took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cayetano Damario. Cayetano Damario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. 83 minutes into the match, Cristo Maxin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cayetano Damario. Forres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristo Maxin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. 89 minutes into the match, El Maguito's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Faron came free, but Edgard Orti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gogo Atarratze struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Cayetano Damario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Maguito. For all the effort they put into the match, the Forres players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Maguito.
