The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Remigio Maju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Curupay defense, Luan Portalupi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remigio Maju. The Curupay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remigio Maju should have stopped the shot. After having played for 75 minutes, Luan Portalupi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Christian Gomito Gómez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luan Portalupi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luan Portalupi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Maju having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luan Portalupi in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Maju saved Curupay from getting behind. Remigio Maju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luan Portalupi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Luan Portalupi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Christian Gomito Gómez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Bernardo Lucila took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Maju. Remigio Maju dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Christian Gomito Gómez walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
