Cesinha Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Maties. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesinha Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute Sergio Udalaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Maties saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolando Tanio during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Belgrano FC booed when REYES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Tanio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Casimiro Ezkerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartolo Maties was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Urbano Luar hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Casimiro Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Udalaitz in the 31st minute of play forced REYES's goalkeeper Bartolo Maties to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Casimiro Ezkerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bartolo Maties was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bartolo Maties showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesinha Secco in the 40th minute of the match. If Eustaquio Jerrold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the REYES defense, Sergio Udalaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bartolo Maties. The REYES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Maties should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Sergio Udalaitz made the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Liberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Tanio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgrano FC's Emanuel Liberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Raphael in the 60th minute of play. With his leg Bartolo Maties managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Belgrano FC's Sergio Udalaitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Belgrano FC made a substitution. Severo Silban replaced Cesinha Secco. In the 76thth minute of the game Casimiro Ezkerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but REYES's Bartolo Maties was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Liberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Tanio in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Severo Silban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bartolo Maties. REYES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severo Silban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. REYES made a substitution. Angelo Martxot replaced Cornelio Justin. In the 87th minute, Sergio Udalaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Severo Silban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Belgrano FC's Severo Silban in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye REYES's goalie prevented a goal. But to his dismay, Ismael Barrionuevo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Belgrano FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
