The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Jurgi during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Astor Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melquiades Dei's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 27 minutes into the match, Famatina's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Ramalho came free, but Astor Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Remigio Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriana Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriana Urbasa was a little too slow when Prospero Basualdo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Remigio Flores had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriana Urbasa. The Facu TeaM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remigio Flores was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 40th minute Melquiades Dei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Betadur in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, The Facu TeaM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Sengrat to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Honorato Jurgi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Famatina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Facu TeaM the free kick.
