Deportivo Chacabuco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zacarias Enmanuel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 14 played minutes Deportivo Chacabuco got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Johans. Marcos Romano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Enmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes RIVER PLATE AFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Cefero. Maximino Johans took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teodosio Birjaio. RIVER PLATE AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Luzea in the 20th minute of play forced RIVER PLATE AFC's goalkeeper Teodosio Birjaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Romano made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Lázaro Feliz sent off a good shot on target. Lázaro Feliz had several of the Deportivo Chacabuco's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Marcos Romano as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Marcelino Romildo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Teodosio Birjaio. In the 30th minute of the match Ivan Napier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodosio Birjaio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. RIVER PLATE AFC's Teodosio Birjaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Luzea in the 34th minute of play. After 35 played minutes, Deportivo Chacabuco's Teodoro Bembe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodosio Birjaio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Chacabuco reached it. Teodosio Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Luzea in the 37th minute of play. 3-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Lázaro Feliz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Silvano Cefero charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Cefero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE AFC's Silvano Cefero got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Deportivo Chacabuco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximino Johans in the 58th minute. Marcelino Romildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Teodosio Birjaio made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE AFC's goalkeeper Teodosio Birjaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Romildo. 67 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Luzea came free, but Teodosio Birjaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Romano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Feliz in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Zacarias Enmanuel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Marcos Romano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teodosio Birjaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Luzea in the 75th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lázaro Feliz put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Romano. Deportivo Chacabuco's Melchor Dabi was substituted for Ivan Napier. In the 84th minute Amador Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Birjaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE AFC's Hilario Feliu got a free kick in the 85th minute. There was no doubt that RIVER PLATE AFC were the better team. RIVER PLATE AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
