Manube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paunero the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Gartzen in the 98th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Ceferino Papo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Manube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paunero were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
