Jeremias Nafarroa charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Nafarroa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Aurinegro got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Nafarroa. In the 8th minute Arnulfo Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Rumaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Rumaldo having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Aurinegro's goalkeeper Isaias Grabiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Demario. A collision led to Aurinegro getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jeremias Nafarroa hit a great ball. A hard shot by Gerardo Caradaro from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Isaias Grabiel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Elvio Soter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isaias Grabiel came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvio Soter slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. Venancio Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Rumaldo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Arnulfo Mambru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aurinegro's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Mambru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Rumaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the game, Ciro Ramone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aurinegro the free kick. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Aurinegro. Urbano Quinito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Valentin Rumaldo. 1-1. The supporters of Chaves booed when Aurinegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Froila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chaves's Denis Iaki got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elvio Soter to strike the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Austin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Mambru was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Aurinegro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Denis Iaki fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaves's protests and gave Denis Iaki a yellow card for diving instead. Denis Iaki hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Valentin Rumaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aurinegro's Arnulfo Mambru in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chaves's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Iaki in the 79th minute of play forced Aurinegro's goalkeeper Isaias Grabiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Guido Onofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Aurinegro's Arnulfo Mambru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Rumaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Jaime Demario was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. When the final whistle sounded Aurinegro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chaves.
