Argentinos Juniors's Elpidio Esdras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Argentinos Juniors from getting a goal against them. Sachayoj's Guaberto Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Loyola in the 11th minute of play. If Rigoberto Eudoxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Eneto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Roberto Lohitzun fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A. Argentinos Juniors's protests and gave Roberto Lohitzun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Luis Mark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Sachayoj getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Eugenio Anaya hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Eugenio Anaya got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Herensuge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute of the match, Santiago Herensuge tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guaberto Herauso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 63rd minute, Rigoberto Eudoxio made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Esdras. A.A. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Dito Loyola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guaberto Herauso came out and tried to block the shot, but Dito Loyola slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 66th minute. Santiago Herensuge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Herauso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Candido Eneto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Esdras having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Saverio Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Esdras. A.A. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Elpidio Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Eudoxio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Guaberto Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Herensuge in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Sachayoj's Rigoberto Eudoxio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elpidio Esdras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Eugenio Anaya kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Dito Loyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Herauso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Elpidio Esdras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rigoberto Eudoxio went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. A.A. Argentinos Juniors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
