The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Lohitzun got free with Uriel Galo in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Breogan in the 6th minute of play forced Piquillín FC's goalkeeper Uriel Galo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piquillín FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Cipriano Breogan scored to the left of an out of position Uriel Galo, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to El Palomar Sporting getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Israel Cordaro hit a great ball. Piquillín FC's Samuel Shepherd couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for El Palomar Sporting. Uriel Galo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edelmiro Lohitzun in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, El Palomar Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Hitzeder came free, but Victor Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Piquillín FC's Uriel Galo got control of the ball when Edelmiro Lohitzun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cipriano Breogan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Uriel Galo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uriel Galo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the game, Piquillín FC's Cristian Hitzeder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Claris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Hitzeder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Hitzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Claris having to interfere. When Cipriano Breogan came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the El Palomar Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Breogan couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Piquillín FC's zone, Edelmiro Lohitzun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uriel Galo came out of the goal and Edelmiro Lohitzun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Breogan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uriel Galo having to make a save. If Edelmiro Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Hitzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Claris having to interfere. Cristian Hitzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Victor Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Pastor Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The El Palomar Sporting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Edelmiro Lohitzun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Galo having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Cipriano Breogan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Palomar Sporting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Breogan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cipriano Breogan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pastor Vedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Palomar Sporting were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Piquillín FC for a fine match.
