In the 13thth minute of the game Edelmiro Lohitzun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Español's Braulio Hermelando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Claris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Josefsson in the 14th minute of the match. Lucio Bartuelo scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Hermelando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Ferrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Victor Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Hermelando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Lohitzun in the 24th minute of play. Leif Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Victor Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Claris having to interfere. If Leif Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Claris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Ferrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Leif Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lautaro Ferrero to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Ferrero in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Claris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the match, Cipriano Breogan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Braulio Hermelando, 0-4. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Lautaro Ferrero sped through El Palomar Sporting's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Claris. If Leif Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Lohitzun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Braulio Hermelando made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 李凡夕 during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
