Escoya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Majadita the free kick. The supporters of Majadita booed when Escoya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Breogan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Giro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Escoya's Emanuel Afonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Escoya from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Chuan in the 90th minute of play forced Escoya's goalkeeper Emanuel Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Escoya's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Cecilio Giro scored to the left of an out of position Emanuel Afonso, making the score, 2-6.
