In the 43rd minute Samuel Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Joachim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Marcelino Weterio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mauro Gonzales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Kimetz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Gonzales in the 79th minute of play forced bastones verdes y negros's goalkeeper Ramiro Kimetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Manuel Lain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched bastones verdes y negros eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
