Rodolfo Honrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Jordy having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Amador Sustrai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gancedo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Sustrai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venancio Jordy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Sustrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Jonas Abalos made a precise shot to the right of Isidro Bautista. Gancedo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some careless play in the Real Sporting de Recoleta defense, Amador Sustrai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Venancio Jordy. The Real Sporting de Recoleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Venancio Jordy should have stopped the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amador Sustrai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amancio Cordarrel's late challenge caught a Real Sporting de Recoleta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Cordarrel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gancedo FC's Amancio Cordarrel got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Real Sporting de Recoleta's Melchor Bemabe broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Real Sporting de Recoleta's Venancio Jordy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Real Sporting de Recoleta from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Real Sporting de Recoleta defense, Rodolfo Honrio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Venancio Jordy. The Real Sporting de Recoleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Venancio Jordy should have stopped the shot. Jonas Abalos scored 3-5 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Bautista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Gancedo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gancedo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
