Carmelo Crispo's late challenge caught a Alianza Boquense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Crispo helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Crispo. Adam Geambașu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th minute, Aquilino Quirce made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Maria. Alianza Boquense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 15 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Quirce. Eduardo Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Sayvion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Benjamin Orain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alianza Boquense's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Orain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Leizarraga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamin Orain succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 27th playminute. In the 31st minute Aquilino Quirce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mercedes booed when Alianza Boquense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Mogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Orain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Leizarraga having to interfere. Alianza Boquense's Adam Geambașu got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Aquilino Quirce made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Maria made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gaspar Sayvion sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Nesor took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Maria. Eduardo Maria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Aquilino Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Alianza Boquense getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Daniel Tano hit a great ball. When Omar Columbo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Mercedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Columbo couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Alianza Boquense's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Quirce came free, but Eduardo Maria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Maria was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Omar Columbo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 81 minute of play. Mercedes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
