Spectators: 6975 (Terracing: 5339, Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 5th minute, C.A.Franco's Martin Rexino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Venancio Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Paulo Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, C.A.Franco's Acácio Mesquita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cipriano Gora. Cipriano Gora yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The audience was convinced that Venancio Mateo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Paulo Silva was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Venancio Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venancio Mateo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Silva having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Jan-Ove Jonasson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cipriano Gora. Jan-Ove Jonasson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Venancio Mateo to strike the kick off in the second half. If Venancio Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Edward's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Ove Jonasson came free, but Cipriano Gora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Paulo Silva made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Venancio Mateo sent off a good shot on target. When Salvador Nataniel came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Edward fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Nataniel couldn't finish the play. After 68 minutes, Salvador Nataniel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Edward and the C.A.Franco players grew even worse after the yellow card. When C.A.Franco's Jan-Ove Jonasson in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Primitivo Suarez charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes C.A.Franco got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Suarez. In the 83rd minute Martin Rexino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the C.A.Franco defense, Venancio Mateo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Paulo Silva. The C.A.Franco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Paulo Silva should have stopped the shot. If Venancio Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cipriano Gora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A.Franco fans cheered their team off the field, for while Edward had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
