But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Meirelles couldn't finish the play. When Cristo Santana fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo SALGADO's protests and gave Cristo Santana a yellow card for diving instead. Cristo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Club Deportivo SALGADO got a freekick which was hit by Hector Kiliz. Guillermo Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Mero in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Anastasio Dominic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristo Santana got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Cristo Santana hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Sebastian Montxo scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Epifanio Foro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Montxo in the 34th minute of play forced Club Deportivo SALGADO's goalkeeper Epifanio Foro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Barea having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Rodolfo Selatse made a precise shot to the right of Guillermo Barea. Delicia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The supporters of Delicia FC booed when Club Deportivo SALGADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Mero didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Montxo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Delicia FC's Luisito Mouricio got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Rodolfo Selatse took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillermo Barea. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Montxo got free with Epifanio Foro in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Club Deportivo SALGADO's Epifanio Foro got control of the ball when Sebastian Montxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Zeledon Joey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportivo SALGADO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
