Conrado Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Paublo in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Mario Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Conrado Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Saenz Peña's Conrado Frederico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Uzuri in the 9th minute of play. If Placido Paublo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Segundo Tercero kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jesus Munio's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Conrado Frederico - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Uzuri in the 17th minute of play forced Club Saenz Peña's goalkeeper Conrado Frederico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Paublo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Frederico having to interfere. Placido Paublo struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Conrado Frederico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrancas FC. Placido Paublo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Frederico having to interfere. Placido Paublo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Frederico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Paublo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Club Saenz Peña's Zeledon Dalmai ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Humberto Bernal. Humberto Bernal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Segundo Tercero fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Saenz Peña's protests and gave Segundo Tercero a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Saenz Peña getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Segundo Tercero hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Jesus Munio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Frederico skillfully saved the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Placido Paublo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Saenz Peña's Conrado Frederico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 54 minutes, Alejandro Iturri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Saenz Peña's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Iturri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeledon Dalmai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Saenz Peña's Conrado Frederico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Club Saenz Peña from getting a goal against them. Guido Magdaleno struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Conrado Frederico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrancas FC. The supporters of Barrancas FC booed when Club Saenz Peña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Tercero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Lucas Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Frederico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Iturri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Bernal having to interfere. If Lucas Uzuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Uzuri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Conrado Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Frederico made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Placido Paublo sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Placido Paublo could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Conrado Frederico however easily saved by the left post. Lucas Uzuri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Conrado Frederico came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Uzuri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 92nd minute. Placido Paublo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Barrancas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Saenz Peña throughout the match.
