An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Benitez in the 17th minute of play forced Brown's goalkeeper Federico Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Severo Benitez came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Elertondo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Benitez couldn't finish the play. Celedonio Vistruario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Librado having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Elertondo's Venancio Guipuzkoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Federico Salvidor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Federico Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Guipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Celedonio Vistruario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Elertondo's Genaro Gabon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Celedonio Vistruario might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Librado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celedonio Vistruario ran back to his position shaking his head. When Celedonio Vistruario came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Vistruario couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel Pere to strike the kick off in the second half. Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elertondo the free kick. Severino Iraido got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 73 played minutes Brown got a freekick which was hit by Severino Iraido. Jonatan Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Vistruario in the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severo Benitez got free with Federico Salvidor in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severo Benitez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Federico Salvidor made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Benitez came free, but Federico Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severo Benitez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
