In the 11th minute, Evaristo Nesto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Senillosa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Evaristo Nesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Senillosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Nesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chavarría's Venancio Donostia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Nesto in the 19th minute of play. Daniel Hitzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Senillosa FC's goalkeeper Herminio Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Ubelteso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Delfino in the 27th minute of play forced Senillosa FC's goalkeeper Herminio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Hitzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Delfino in the 33rd minute of play forced Senillosa FC's goalkeeper Herminio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Delfino in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Senillosa FC's zone, Severino Piarres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Abreu came out of the goal and Severino Piarres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Hitzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venancio Donostia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Nesto went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Delfino to make the kick off. After 58 minutes of play, Chavarría's Claudio Delfino made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herminio Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Francisco Ubelteso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Delfino in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herminio Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Delfino in the 67th minute of the match. Claudio Delfino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Francisco Ubelteso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio Delfino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Abreu having to interfere. Herminio Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Ubelteso in the 85th minute of the match. If Francisco Ubelteso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Chavarría supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Senillosa FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Senillosa FC.
